Geoffrey Gunn – Southeast Asia & Vietnam
Compilation des articles de Geoffrey Gunn sur Japan Focus (pages consultées le 25/08/2020). Autoprésentation de l’auteur ci-après :

Now emeritus from Nagasaki University, I continue to live in the port city. Mostly my research and publications deal with Southeast Asia as with, Rice Wars in Colonial Vietnam: The Great Famine and the Viet Minh Road to Power (Rowman & Littlefield, 2014). I have also authored books on Laos and Cambodia and with research ongoing in archives in Phnom Penh. Looking beyond strictly national and area studies, in 2010 I published History Without Borders: The Making of an Asian World Region, 1000-1800 (University of Hong Kong Press). My most recent publication is Wartime Macau: Under the Japanese Shadow (University of Hong Kong Press, 2016). I am also tracking over earlier research on “Nagasaki and the Asian Bullion Trade Networks.” For the last couple of years I have also served as a co-editor of Journal of Contemporary Asia.
